Two (2) Days First International Workshop on Curricula Development and Optimization in Business Administration, April 13 – 14, 2006, Islamabad - Islamic Republic of Pakistan
INIT in collaboration with COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad convened a 2-day international workshop on ‘Curricula Development and Optimization in business Administration’. It was held on April 13-14, 2006 in Islamabad.
The main emphasis of the workshop was to enhance the curriculum of business administration being followed in COMSATS Institute of information Technology. To foster the productive relationship and improve national capacity for intellectual and economical growth, to bring together national and international academic and industrial representatives to identify and suggest ways and means with view to improve upon the curriculum being followed by CIIT.
The Subject workshop was a great success. It came out as a platform to the academic experts and industrial stakeholders to form bridge for further collaborations and develop understanding of needs/issues of each other. Experts from leading academic Institutions delivered lectures and elaborate different domains of the curriculum to be followed in graduate and undergraduate programs. They also highlight the deficiencies and suggest remedies to them.
Five (5) worthy speakers delivered lectures. They also proposed a curriculum outline courses for graduate and undergraduate studies, in line with the requirements of today’s industry. They also intricate why this structure of curricula is necessary to equip the students with adequate knowledge base skill and prepare them adapt with changing industrial requirements. The experience based knowledge and research base inferences were personified collectively during the sessions.
